Your notes, favorites, and listening history live on your device. You control what stays and what you share.

What the app saves

HushMello stores your optional name, favorites, journal notes and moods, linked sounds, listening dates and durations, session completion, and preferences such as appearance, listening time, and daily intention. Notes contain whatever you choose to write, including personal information you decide to include.

This information is kept in local app files to remember your choices and show your listening activity. The app does not upload it. There is no app-operated account service, cloud sync, advertising, or analytics SDK.

Permissions and sign-in

Listening does not require microphone, location, contacts, or Health access. No sign-in is needed. The app does not collect credentials, contact authentication providers, or create an account. HushMello does not currently schedule notifications.

Device storage and backups

Your local files are protected by the iOS app sandbox and your device settings. There is no separate HushMello passcode. Apple device backups may include app data, depending on your settings. System diagnostics are handled under Apple’s settings and policies.

Exporting your data

Open You → Your data → Export my data to create a JSON copy of your saved name, favorites, notes, listening history, and preferences. The iOS share sheet lets you choose where it goes. The file includes your notes, so choose a destination you trust.

A temporary export stays in the app until iOS cleans it up or you delete all local data. Copies you save or share elsewhere are managed by that destination. The app cannot import an export.

Deleting your data

Data stays until you remove it. Edit or delete individual notes in Journal, or tap a heart again to remove a favorite.

• Clear listening history stops playback and removes listening records and statistics. Your notes, favorites, and preferences stay.
• Delete all local data stops playback and removes your name, favorites, notes, history, preferences, local recovery files, and app-held exports. The welcome screen returns.

Both controls are in You → Your data. Full deletion cannot erase exports you already shared or copies in earlier device backups. Deleting the app removes its local files. If a saved file becomes unreadable, the app may keep a recovery copy; full local deletion removes those copies too.

This website

The website does not receive your app data. Its pages use no JavaScript, analytics scripts, forms, external fonts, tracking pixels, or site-created cookies.

Cloudflare hosts the website and processes web requests, which may include IP addresses, request details, and security logs. This is separate from your app’s local files. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its practices.
